OK, there's some new sides on the web now. Here's the main information I could glean from it:
Jordan has quite the background - she was married, received a DUI and had something to do with sex clubs.
The roles of Matt and Danny are explained - Matt oversees all writing aspects of the show, while Danny oversees the production side (sets, FX, sound, wardrobe etc).
Some of the main stuff happening in the episode:
Jordan is facing a backlash from the christian community as they have learnt about the Crazy Christians sketch. One of the affiliate stations is threatening to drop Studio 60 if Crazy Christians is shown.
The musical guests are The White Stripes, but Jack White falls ill which causes problems as they need to find a replacement.

Eeee! *geeks* I love this show. So very, very much. And it's not even on yet.
Incidentally, I've transcribed the sides and put 'em up on the scripts page for anybody who's interested.

Sweet! Just a little tidbit of what to look forward to without spoilers to take away from the pleasure of watching it.

Am I the only one who's been walking around humming "we hope that you don't mind that our producer was caught doing blow" ever since the episode ended?

[slowly raising hand] no. But in other news did anyone notice how they didn't actualy find a replacement for the White Stripes? I know Sorkin is all about story, and even though he left plot holes all throughout the West Wing, it still bugs me a little. I also had a hard time wrapping my head around the scene where Matt and Danny are talking about Matt using Wes' old office, and Matt says "He wrote for the Smothers Brothers, he wrote for Pryor, he wrote for Cosby he invented Studio 60." The way he says it is like it's something special, but we know that in their world there is an SNL, and SNL startel in '75, so Studio 60 would have been a corbon copy rip off. I realize that they want to pay homage to SNL by mentioning the show, also there could be a problem if they didn't mention the show (if they didn't mention SNL exists in their universe people would be left to assume that Studio 60 is supposed to directly represent SNL which could reflect badly), it was just one of those things that made me pause my tivo and think if there was a layered meaning... then shrug my shoulders give up and push play. So those were the gripes, I loved the show, totaly thought it was better than the pilot. I did think it was over to soon... that show really moves, and it left me wanting more.
