So NBC announced this week that Studio 60 would be airing at 9PM Thursdays, against the US' highest rated drama - CSI - and then ABC announced the next day that they'd be moving their highest rated show Grey's Anatomy to that same time (ouch!)
I really hope the fact Studio 60 is going to be better than everything else that's on will help it out...not 100% sure it will though!

I actually think NBC should consider moving it. I don't know if any show can suceed to the level a network would expect a Sorkin show to suceed going against those two shows.
I think Wednesday at 10 (currently no good shows in that slot since Alias is out) would be a good choice.

Also, this is going to be going up against Grey's Anatomy right out of the gate. That's two top ten shows they're pitting this against. I think this show will hold it's own though. If there's a show that's in jeopardy here, it's CSI, I believe. I think people may grow weary of it and look somewhere else for an hour of entertainment. Hopefully, they'll give Studio 60 a look and stick with it. This also has the added advantage of Matthew Perry, so that'll generate some interest right off the bat. I think it may start off in 3rd place, but as buzz builds to the general public at large and not just to those who are die-hard TV/Sorkin fans, people will switch.

I think putting it after "The Office" is a smart move. That show doesn't have outstanding ratings, but its core audience is in the key demographics and it'll lead in well to Studio 60 in terms of a young audience.

I think that there was an article in the Times recently that mentioned that NBC is going to shuffle it's fall schedule around to deal with this, so I'm not too worried anymore. I don't think putting it up against CSI was as terrible as everyone though, mostly because I think they attract different audiences, even if CSI is the highest rated show on teevee, but there was no way it could hold its own against Gray's Anatomy.

This also has the added advantage of Matthew Perry, so that'll generate some interest right off the bat. I keep forgetting that Studio 60 has Matthew Perry ...I'm watching it because it's Aaron Sokin's next show! I heard a rumour before the up-fronts that NBC might more ER to make way for Studio 60 at 10PM Thursday, I think that would be a really good idea, especially since CBS are moving Without a Trace, it means that Studio 60 would be up against new shows and it's already the most anticipated show of the year, I think it would do better at 10PM...

And what you said about Wednesday @ 10. Did you not forget CSI: New York? Those CSI shows are the biggest ratings draw for CBS. So IMO if they do move it to Monday nights, they better do it before 10 pm...or else they'll have to deal with CSI Miami. PS. I have an online article about this. I'll post it ASAP.
